Most operators we talk to have the same first question: would this even work here? Answering it properly takes research — your utility’s rate history, the geology under your fields, which incentives your county actually qualifies for, what the permitting path looks like in your town. That work exists whether or not anyone does it for you.

So we do it, and we hand you the file. A Fifty Under Site Report is a roughly 30-page assessment of one specific operation, built from public records, published data, and whatever you choose to share. It tells you what a ground-source system would have to overcome at your site, what it would likely cost you and save you, and — plainly — where the case is weak.

It is yours to keep, whether or not you ever work with us. Take it to your lender, your co-op, your board, or another installer. We would rather you make a good decision with real information than a fast one with ours.

What the report covers

Every report runs the same sixteen sections. Roughly half is our standing explanation of how ground-source systems and contracts work; about a third is specific to your state and utility; the rest is about your operation and no one else’s.

We are not going to tell you a document will cut your energy bill. It will not. What it will do is put the decision in front of you in a form you can act on — or set aside with a clear conscience.

Deciding whether to look further

The cheapest outcome is finding out early that geothermal does not fit your site — before you have spent a season on it. A fair number of reports end that way, and we say so in them.

Making the case to someone else

A lender, a co-op board, a landlord, a family partner. The report is sourced and self-contained, so the person you hand it to can check it without taking your word for anything.

Timing it to the overhaul

The right moment to consider a change is when the boiler or chiller is coming due anyway. The report tells you where your existing plant sits in its life and what that window looks like.

We would rather you know the limits before you pay for it than after.

Not an engineering designIt is an assessment, not a stamped drawing set. A real design follows a site visit and, in most cases, a test bore.
Not a quote or a priceCost figures in it are modelled ranges. No number in the report is an offer, and we say which figures are modelled on the page they appear.
Not a guarantee of savingsSavings depend on your loads, your rates, and what you sign. We show the arithmetic and the assumptions so you can argue with them.
Not a substitute for a test boreSubsurface is the biggest unknown on most sites. Public geology narrows it; only drilling settles it.
Not built on facts we inventedWhere we could not establish something — your fuel use, the age of your plant — it is listed as an open question rather than filled in with an average.

You do not have to send us a single document to get one. But if you can share twelve months of fuel and electric bills, the age of your heating plant, and a rough building footprint, the modelled figures stop being estimates and start being arithmetic on your own numbers.
